Sevid geographical position

Somewhere in the middle of Central Dalmatia lies the small unspoiled natural jewel of Adriatic, Sevid. Founded by fishermen originating from Rogoznica and named after St. Vision’s church around which the village was created, it is situated within a distance of 15 km from Trogir or Primošten and 45 km both from Split and Šibenik. It is a Mediterranean village of unspoiled nature and crystal clear sea, exuding calm and tranquility, away from urban areas and daily traffic jams. With all small island place characteristics is ideal spot for a quiet holiday, and yet reachable by car at any time.

Historical sites

The saint patron of Sevid is St. Vid to whom the people have built the church, whose ruins still exist.
In the bay of Stari Trogir, located not more than 2 km from the Center of Sevid, are the remains of Roman Villa Rustica which in roman times served as a resort and ship harbor.
Rt Planika is the most prominent part of the coast. In honor of all sailors who have suffered an accident on that place stands the church of St. Ante.
Most important islet near Sevid is St. Archangels, with the church and a monastery of the same name.

The nearby cities of Trogir, Split and Šibenik abound with monuments of rich Croatian history. Diocletian’s Palace in Split, The Historic City of Trogir and The Cathedral of St. James in Sibenik are also recognized by UNESCO and included on the World Heritage List.


Sevid is well known for its crystal clear sea, beautiful sandy beaches and numerous islands and islets. A perfect place for a quiet intimate holiday, away from crowded cities and noisy beaches. Hiking and biking through natural pine forest shadows on existing cycling trails, hiking and breathing fresh and clean sea air or visiting historic churches are just some of the opportunities provided by Sevid and its environment.

Sevid is located within a distance of 15 km from Trogir or Primošten and 45 km both from Split and Šibenik. Although it has all small island characteristics is reachable by car at any time. Nearest motorway entrance (Prgomet), only 28.4 km away,  allows you safe and comfortable transportation whether going south or north.

For air travel lovers, due to the proximity of the two Croatian airports, Sevid is a convenient location. In case of deciding for Split Airport - 26.5 km, or Zadar Airport- 125 km, we offer you out transportation service to Sevid Sea Residence. Useful information for all navigators, sailors and yachtsmen is that nearest international Ferry Port is located in Split only 48.1 km away, and that there are five marinas in a radius of 35 km.
